Perkovich Named CEO of Central California Rehabilitation Hospital
Shayne Perkovich has been named Chief Executive Officer of Central California Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Bakersfield, Calif. The medical rehabilitation hospital provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions.
Prior to this role, Perkovich served as the administrative director of rehabilitative services for a national healthcare provider where he oversaw and led the opening of a $40 million, 26-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility in Florida. Having started his career as a speech-language pathologist, Perkovich has worked in various roles beyond the bedside to include lead clinical rehabilitation specialist, rehabilitation services program director, and director of therapy operations in various rehabilitation hospitals in Florida, Georgia, and California.
“Rehabilitation has always been my passion,” Perkovich says “It’s an honor to now be able to lead a highly-trained team that shares that passion with me. It’s because of these efforts that the hospital is nationally recognized for quality patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.”
Perkovich earned a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich., and a master’s in speech-language pathology from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan. He earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, La.
