Christine Duron has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Denver Regional Rehabilitation Hospital (DRRH). The 31-bed medical rehabilitation hospital provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. It’s located in Thornton, Colo.

An occupational therapist, Duron served as the interim CEO for the hospital prior to beginning her new role. She started her career as a senior therapist at an acute care hospital, primarily working with patients in the intensive critical care unit. After eight years, she joined DRRH as a lead clinical liaison, building and maintaining working relationships with hospital case managers, therapy teams, and physicians to maximize referrals and admissions. Duron later assumed the role of the hospital’s director of marketing and business development, where she was integral in improving the facility’s average daily census and payor mix

Duron earned a bachelor’s degree in health care sciences and a master’s degree in occupational therapy at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She’s currently completing a master’s in business administration from Western Governors University.
