Innovative Gait-Training Technology Now Available at Ernest Health Hospitals
Patients with neurological and mobility impairments now have access to innovative gait-training technology at many of Ernest Health’s medical rehabilitation hospitals.
Rise&Walk®, from the Nashville-based company Healing Innovations, Inc., is a full-spectrum sit-and-stand gait trainer that synchronizes upper and lower extremity movements. The versatile neurorehabilitation station combines robotic-assisted gait training, seated activities, and a balance support zone.
“By incorporating this technology into our hospitals’ therapy offerings, we can enhance patient care while providing objective data for tracking patient progress, safeguarding staff from potential injuries, and improving overall therapy efficiency,” says Lynn Fleming, Chief Clinical Officer at Ernest Health.
Rise&Walk® supports patient recovery by providing:
- Multiple modes and movements options
- Access to a range of treatment sessions based upon personal comfort
- Increased steps per session, calibrated for optimal assistance and efficiency
- Highly engaging rehabilitation sessions
“This technology is developed in alignment with the latest research to promote neurorecovery, a critical component of functional rehabilitation,” Fleming says. “We’re pleased to offer it throughout our hospitals to help patients maximize their recoveries.”
