Ernest Health has announced that Robin Saxon has been selected as the organization’s Chief of Strategy and Development Officer.

In this role, Saxon leads Ernest Health’s enterprise-wide growth and development strategy, overseeing hospital development, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, market expansion initiatives, and healthcare real estate strategy. She is responsible for helping to drive the organization’s multi-year expansion plans as Ernest Health continues to grow its national footprint in inpatient rehabilitation.

Saxon brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare development, real estate strategy, business development, and executive leadership. Prior to joining Ernest Health, she served as Vice President of Real Estate, Construction & Facilities Development, for a large nonprofit health system in Georgia, where she oversaw more than $800 million annually in healthcare construction projects and led the acquisition of more than $120 million in healthcare real estate assets.

Previously, Saxon held executive leadership roles with another health care system, leading business development and healthcare real estate strategy across hospitals and ambulatory sites throughout the Southeast and Gulf Coast regions. Earlier in her career, she served as Counsel and Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for a construction and development company in Nashville, Tenn., where she helped generate significant healthcare and institutional development growth.

Saxon earned her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, and her bachelor’s degree in English and political science from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. She is also a Master of Health Administration candidate at Louisiana State University and completed the Harvard School of Negotiation & Mediation Program.
