VP of Central Operations
Michael Roffelsen is the VP of Central Operations, supporting hospital CEOs in departmental operations, strategic initiatives, referral development, and overall operational management.
With an extensive background in operations, marketing, sales, and physician recruitment, Mike has more than 30 years of healthcare experience. Most recently, he served as the Market CEO of Green Bay Rehabilitation Hospital and Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio, located in Wisconsin and Ohio, respectively. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Green Bay Rehabilitation Hospital, where he successfully led the hospital’s pre-opening operations, including recruitment of key leadership and medical staff, and the securing local and state licensing. Under his leadership, the hospital established strong referral networks and enhanced access to specialized rehabilitative care in the region.
Prior to joining Ernest Health, Mike held leadership positions within hospitals and healthcare systems in Florida and Indiana. His track record includes improving patient outcomes, reducing employee turnover, and enhancing operational efficiencies.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisc., and a master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind. When not working, he enjoys traveling to other countries to experience different cultures.
